INDIGENOUS ISSUES IN AUSTRALIAN UNIVERSITIES RESEARCH TEACHING SUPPORT

This collection of essays by both Indigenous and non-Indigenous scholars offers a range of perspectives on issues confronting Indigenous students, staff and Indigenous studies in Australian higher education. It is multidisciplinary covering topics ranging from law, history, feminism, business, health and education as well as cultural awareness and safety and is an indicator of the dynamism that exists within and across institutions which aim to promote and support the development of Indigenous higher eduction. The collection offers both theoretical explorations of issues relevant to Indigenous students, staff and studies as well as practical examples, personal reflections and case studies of programs and services which suggest the potential for ongoing and future research and practice. Jack Frawley is a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Creative & Authentic Leadership, Australian Catholic University. Maggie Nolan is a Senior Lecturer in Australian Studies, Australian Catholic University. Nereda White is the Director of the Centre for Indigenous Education and Research, Australian Catholic University.
