This unit enables students to develop advanced knowledge, skills and attitudes in an area of exercise and sport science. The focus of this unit will be on the analysis of biomechanical and anatomical function in the human body and applying this knowledge to the fields coaching, performance enhancement in sport and movement. The unit topics will address both theory and practice role of the exercise and sport biomechanist and functional anatomist as a member of exercise and sport science teams and the link between research and practice.
It is a requirement of this unit to have access to the Charles Darwin University intra and internet.
External students will have to attend an intensive on campus learning activity at Casuarina Campus during semester 1 inter-semester break.
