TEP025 Bioscience

The aim of this unit is to introduce bioscience where the human organism is emphasised. You will learn about the organisation and structure and function of the human body and the language used to describe it. You will also learn about the processes scientists use to learn about their environment, including scientific inquiry and biological investigations. This unit examines the internal communication and control mechanisms within the human body and how it interacts with, and responds to, changes to the external environment. This will be achieved by providing opportunities for modelling, critically analysing and writing about scientific concepts relating to human biology, within the context of scientific inquiry.
