This unit analyses and critiques the policy landscape in Australian politics at a federal and state level in relation to Indigenous Australians. By exploring the history of implementation and effects of recent policy agendas imposed by governments at different levels and particularly in health and education, students are exposed to and able to critique the ways in which political power is employed in ways that both hinder and support Indigenous aspiration.
