This unit provides the opportunity to research and investigate an important field of inquiry independently in response to studies completed within the Graduate Diploma of Indigenous Policy Development and/or as part of a related professional/work project or investigation. The unit provides the opportunity for students to develop independent research skills in a supportive environment with a subject or research question which is manageable within the expected time frame. The unit may include desktop literature reviews or a basic investigation into a simple and straightforward primary research question (with the approval and support of a staff supervisor).
This unit is a mini-thesis/dissertation in a graduate studies program. Before commencing this unit, you will need to discuss possible research topics and supervisors with the Head of School of Indigenous Knowledges and Public Policy.
