This unit is only available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Accounting Honours or the Bachelor of Commerce Honours.
This unit is the first of two units design to guide the student through to the successful completion of a research project and compilation of a written thesis that represents a significant contribution to knowledge.
In collaboration with a research supervisor and following a research plan normally produced in the unit BUS414 Research Proposal Development students will begin an independent empirical investigation by way of such devices as a comprehensive literature review, data collection and analysis. Students will be required to present their findings and progress. During this phase of the students research students will begin the compilation of a written thesis of between 10,000-20,000 words.
