This unit aims to develop conceptual and analytical skills to build the knowledge necessary about the workings of an economy and its influence to business related disciplines of accounting, economics, management, marketing and hospitality. Emphasis is placed upon the development of student capacities to understand the principles of establishing an economic model and economic argument through clear and concise definitions of terms, statements of necessary assumptions, appropriate use of diagrams and examples, and the development of relevant options accompanied by an understanding of the importance of making clear any constraints and limitations associated with the analysis.
