This unit provides an introduction to key architectural design concepts and approaches illustrated within a broad historical and theoretical framework drawn from cultural, social and historical sources.
This unit will develop students' architectural vocabulary and analytical understanding of architecture; identifying the approaches taken to the design and production of architecture and their underpinning philosophies.
Students will explore additional modes to interpret historical and theoretical design knowledge; and includes the critical reading, analysis and interpretation of text and drawings.
