In this post-graduate unit, pre-service teachers will critically analyse current educational policies that impact on practice. Foundational learning about Indigenous knowledges will be built on to enable pre-service teachers to address contemporary Indigenous issues of resilience and self-identity. These topics are particularly relevant to Indigenous students in the Junior Secondary Years of schooling. Pre-service teachers will analyse and describe relevant connections between curriculum priorities and student well-being.
