This unit enables students to plan and execute a research based inquiry project which may involve implementation of a research design addressing a topic which the student has been investigating over a number of units within the Master of Education (International). Students will propose a project with the Unit Coordinator, who will then distribute proposals to staff for direct supervision. The main aim of the unit is to enable students to make an innovative contribution to our understanding of global learning within the context of the student's professional field and disciplinary domain. The project will involve further synthesis of literature, design of a research project, development of ethical protocols to address data collection, collection of data (which may include curriculum documents, policy text, a teaching and learning initiative, secondary analysis of existing data or similar) and production of a report on the findings of the study.
This repeatable unit enables students to enrol for the 40 credit point thesis EMG510 part time over two semesters.
