This unit together with ENG702 forms the undergraduate engineering research thesis requirement. The whole thesis runs over two semesters, but ENG701 should be successfully completed (it can be taken in either the first or second semester) before commencing ENG702 in the following semester.
ENG701 and ENG702 combine to bring together research and the knowledge and skills acquired in the design, experimentation, analysis, management and communications aspect of the undergraduate engineering course in an individual research project undertaken by the student under the guidance of an academic supervisor. The thesis will take two full semesters to complete successfully, which means ENG701 should be completed before starting ENG702.
This unit is reliant on on-line materials. Students must have access to a reliable high-speed broadband connection and a scanner.
