This unit is designed to prepare pre-service teachers to address the vast range of exclusionary practices that may be encountered in current social and educational settings. The unit provides pre-service teachers with a theoretical, critical and practical understanding of inclusion, in a practice, in Australian educational contexts. This unit has associated community service of 20 hours where pre-service teachers will work in community based organisations. During this time they will demonstrate community involvement, social justice perspectives and contribution to Communities of Practice.
