FUN503 Medical and Directive Play Therapy

Medical and Directive Play Therapy incorporates a broad range of Play Therapy abilities. Medical and Directive Play Therapy knowledge will broaden students Play Therapy skill set. A Play Therapist needs to have awareness in both directive and non-directive theories, so that they can formulate and apply individualized treatment plans. Knowledge relating to the neurological psychological factors of Play Therapy will be expanded on within this unit.


This unit targets professionals from a range of disciplines. The aim is to teach skills that can be incorporated in their already known skillset. This unit will be offered in Semester 1 in external mode with an intensive block and will be offered in Summer Semester in internal mode with week by week delivery.
