GCP503 Reconciliation and Opportunities in an Australian Context

Reconciliation is vital for creating sustainable partnerships and opportunities for people living in contemporary Australian society. This unit explores the concept of reconciliation drawing on the historical context in Australia that identified the need for and triggered the implementation of reconciliation processes. The student will examine the reconciliation process as it has been carried out in Australia, in the light of similar processes and their outcomes internationally. The Reconciliation Action Planning process will be critically appraised to develop their skills in evaluating existing plans.
