IAS161 Language Studies 1
This unit provides an introduction to languages for students with little or no prior knowledge. Students are guided to a basic level of proficiency in spoken language, basic grammar and the general structure of discourse. To provide context to the development of their language skills, students are also exposed to culture and social issues in their chosen language. Languages currently offered include: Chinese, Greek, Indonesian, Yolgnu, Bininj Kunwok and Arrernte.
