Drawing as an essential tool for evaluating and transforming ideas provides a practice to the fundamental disciplines of art making processes. This unit develops students' creativity by experimenting with a range of media, materials, techniques and processes which are used to generate and communicate ideas. Students will develop skills in representational, interpretive, and expressive modes of art making through a series of class exercises and research projects. Students are expected to use their imagination and originality in the execution of the program and apply their knowledge and skills to plan, produce and critique their own artwork through a variety of projects.
