This unit provides an opportunity for students to develop their studies into areas of specific interest or applicability. The study must demonstrate an examination and interpretation of the literature along a question aligned to issues of land, language, culture, knowledge, community or policy development and/or natural resource management within an Australian Indigenous context or having implications for an Australian Indigenous context. Students are appointed a supervisor to oversee an in-depth study or research project determined in consultation with staff from the School. Students are required to manage the process of the research work under close supervision and regular contact with the appointed supervisor. This unit can be taken as a 10 credit point unit over one semester, or as a repeatable unit totalling 20 credit points over 2 semesters and students must consult with the Unit Coordinator prior to enrolment.
