LIT210 Great Books

This unit introduces students to the grandeur of writing through a small array of "great books": works of important, canonical influence in the history of English literature by titanic figures from the Western tradition. The unit offers students an opportunity to encounter a few of the influential "touchstones" that have provided the foundation for our literary heritage. The unit teaches students how to conduct academic research and produce critical analysis in response to works by these canonic writers.
