This unit engages students with a range of Australian fiction, poetry and drama from the twentieth century to provide an understanding of Australia's literary history. Students will gain knowledge of the writing genres and forms of Australian writing through a thematic and theoretical focus on the role of the writer in representing Australia's cultural identity.
