LWA221 Human Rights Law

The aim of this unit is to introduce students to the international framework of human rights protection instruments and critically examine the application of International human rights law in Australia and from a transnational perspective. Human Rights Law is different to International Humanitarian Law. Generally, the former applies in time of peace and the latter in time of conflict. However, there are common grounds that will be explored through studying some of the International Conventions.
