Co requisite unit to MID302 Healthy Childbearing 3 and emphasising a primary health care approach and clinical practicum, this unit provides opportunities for the student to work in continuity of care models and apply the theory being learned in MID302. They will be encouraged to think critically about the different midwifery/maternity models of care using the principles of primary healthcare as a benchmark.
A 1 week CTB and 6 weeks of clinical practicum is part of this unit which is linked to the Midwifery Practice Portfolio.
