POL220 International Relations

The unit surveys liberal, realist, neo-realist and other approaches in International Relations theory and applies these to a series of major case studies in world politics, including the role of the United States and the growing role of China in world affairs, the role of the United Nations in the international system, crises in the Middle East including the Iraq war and the Palestinian issue, the so-called "war against terrorism", and a discussion of Australia's role in its region.
