PRT457 Information System Practice

The unit deals with how information is acquired, stored, processed, exchanged and used in a business setting. The unit covers aspects that align business processes with Information Technology.

The unit also covers management methods to ensure that information technology produces value to the business as technology is complex and rapidly changing. Students also learn to develop policies, and procedures to control the behavior of people and standards for technical aspects. Ethics, security and sustainability are important for any IT enabled business and international standards in managing business systems will also be covered.
