Learning is a social process and in this unit students will explore 'both ways' approaches to learning and the social practices and situations in which learning occurs. The purpose is to provide a base for students to strengthen their learning community skills and understandings of how community develops learning identity, motivation, participation, engagement and connection. With an emphasis on interpersonal dialogue, leadership, collaboration, rapport building and experiential learning within the context of diversity, this learning community unit will allow students to relate their pre-tertiary learning to larger personal and community questions.
