This unit examines the theoretical and intervention aspects of loss and grief in professional practice. Various frameworks are utilised in order to understand the nature and impact of loss experiences in individuals' lives. Loss and grief are considered beyond bereavement situations, so that an appreciation is developed of the range of loss.
