TOU502 Tourism Business and Management

This unit will provide students with a theoretical understanding of the fundamentals of tourism business and management. The unit draws together many of the contemporary issues and themes in Australian and international tourism. Students will learn about government approaches to tourism in an urban, regional and remote context and discuss industry and labour implications. Furthermore, students will also investigate tourist motivation and markets and associated branding of destinations and policy and planning.
