This unit builds the concept of the critically reflective practitioner's active engagement in the scholarship of learning and teaching within their discipline. Students will identify an aspect of their professional practice relating to student learning and in negotiation with their lecturer/supervisor prepare a program of activity that will research their teaching practice and engage in the scholarship of learning and teaching. The nature of this activity will depend upon the nature of their work and issues and interests that have been identified through work in other units of this course.
Students should engage in an action research critically reflective practice project focused on improving their own practice. This unit will provide opportunity for students to report their practice in a critically reflective way and disseminate findings and ideas about higher education teaching and learning practice to other practitioners.
This unit is not available for online enrolment and is only available to CDU staff enrolled in the Graduate Certificate of University Teaching and Learning (GCUTL).
