SWK366 Field Education A

Students are expected to begin their social work practice development by exposure to and participation in social work practice in a field agency. Their practical learning will be extended by integrative workshops held weekly through the semester. Students doing this unit will examine the integration of theory with practice, including critical applications of intervention frameworks, use of general social science knowledge and process analysis of micro skills. Emphasis will be placed on developing a beginning consciousness of students' social work practice at three levels: self, agency and profession.

Students must have completed or be enrolled in SWK302 (previously coded SWK340) concurrently with SWK366.

Online enrolment will not be available to students enrolling in Study Period 2 or Summer Semester. To enrol students should complete and submit a Change of Enrolment form to Student Central - www.cdu.edu.au/sites/default/files/student-portal/docs/he102.pdf.
