This unit introduces students to the main principles of company law relevant to accountants in a corporate work place and is designed to provide basic knowledge of commercial and corporations law. The unit covers the basic concepts and fundamental principles of commercial law and corporate law including the Australian legal system, contract law, consumer protection, agency, law of tort and the basic legal principles relating to corporations in Australia.
