OCC502 - Enabling Occupational Abilities and Participation
In this unit students will apply knowledge about the human body and different contexts to understand how impairments and environmental factors impact people's occupational abilities and participation across the lifespan. Students will design ways of enabling participation through modification of occupations and adaptation to impairment using common aids, equipment and assistive technology. When designing occupational therapy programs for case studies of people with impairments, students will apply theories, models, and professional reasoning. Additionally, students will develop skills in analysis, measurement, communication and manual handling which they will implement during practice education.
