Secondhand textbooks
Charles Darwin University Bookshop does not sell or buyback secondhand textbooks.
Whilst we understand the cost burden to students with some brand-new textbooks, we are unable to provide this service directly.
Things to be aware of when choosing secondhand:
Similar Content: The content in a secondhand textbook is usually the same as in a new one but with additional chapters or revised information. Check with your lecturer to confirm the older edition can be used. You can also assess the table of contents of both editions to check for significant updates.
Highlighted and Annotated: Some secondhand textbooks come with helpful notes, highlights, and annotations from previous users. These can provide additional insights and context or can be hindrance to you!
Where to find secondhand textbooks?
Students advertise for sale the textbooks they no longer want to keep on noticeboards on campus or online trading sites.
