OCC511 - Occupational Therapy Profession and Practice
In this unit students will develop understanding of how the philosophical and historical foundations of occupational therapy have shaped the profession as it is practised today. Students will learn the theoretical models and processes that occupational therapists use in occupation-based, client centred practice. There will be a total of 30 hours of practice education incorporated into the on campus intensive. During practice education, students will observe and apply the Australian Occupational Therapy Competency Standards such as professionalism and communication which are required in occupational therapy practice.
