In this unit, students will learn about communication theory and explore the different components of human communication that contribute to communication competency. As part of this, students will be introduced to the concepts of multimodal and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Students will develop skills in the analysis of nondisordered language and communication, including linguistic analysis, phonetic transcription and conversation analysis.
