SLT508 - Diversity in Communication
In this unit students will explore the diversity of ways that humans can communicate. Students will integrate their knowledge of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health to understand the ways in which lifelong and acquired disability can impact on communication. Students will learn about the theory, design and implementation of aided and unaided Augmentative and Alternative Communication, including Assistive Technology, and multimodal communication across the lifespan.
