SWK313 Engaging With Individuals and Families in Partnership
This unit introduces students to theory underpinning direct practice in Social Work and Human Services for working with individuals and families. An introduction to working with children and young people will also be provided. Emphasis is placed on working in an empowering, client-focused approach with individuals and families and the student will have the opportunity to examine different approaches and evaluate their effectiveness through consideration of case studies, current research evidence and views from practitioners. Students will continue to develop their professional practice framework with opportunities for skills development in the area of Social Work.
