This unit provides an understanding of trauma as it impacts children, young people, parents, families and communities. Trauma experienced by Aboriginal peoples is considered in relation to its influence on safe parenting, protective capacity and healthy relationships. Students will develop knowledge and skills for trauma-informed practice and systems that support the safety of children and young people.
