ECE110 - Safe and Healthy Environments for Children
This unit develops preservice teachers' knowledge and application of health and safety protocols and standards for early childhood contexts. This includes responding to staff and children's wellness and well-being, hygiene, infectious disease control, supervision, risk mitigation, incident, and emergency response. This knowledge will provide preservice teachers with strategies to actively contribute to the ongoing enhancement of, and application of, health and safety standards in accordance with established service policies and procedures within the regulations governing children's education and care services in Australia.
