This will be achieved through critical reflection and synthesis of current research literature with reviewing Australian Curriculum. Contemporary issues in geography education, including technological advancements and spatial information systems, are analysed and integrated in the design and development of authentic learning experiences for adolescent students of geography. Pre-service teachers are supported to develop their ability to interpret and communicate skills, critically engage with knowledge and evaluate new ideas in the context of this unit. Please note that Geographic Information System software will be used in this unit.
