EST204 -ICT in Education

This unit provides an opportunity for students to develop an increased understanding of the application of ICT in education, to further develop their ICT skills and knowledge base, and develop their skills and knowledge of the use of ICT for better learning (their own and their students). The unit covers fundamental concepts relating to the theories of ICT-based pedagogy and provides scaffolding for students to develop both their understanding of the application of ICT in education and in developing their skills in using ICT creatively for their own and for their students' learning. Parallel to this focus in their use of ICT as teachers, is an enriching of their own learning experience through the application of ICT. The unit takes an experiential and problem-solving approach, and uses and presents ICT in diverse ways.
