HEL162 - Greek Language 2
This unit further develops Greek language skills acquired in Greek Language 1, providing a systematic introduction to modern Greek to gradually develop and improve communication and writing skills. Students will review the fundamental aspects of Greek grammar, be introduced to writing simple passages, and interact with peers to improve communication, linguistic, conversational, and compositional skills across a variety of themes. Topics discussed will include selective historical and cultural perspectives of Greece, literature and society, Greek migration to Australia (particularly to the Northern Territory), Greek folk songs, contemporary cinema, Greek cuisine, and other culture-related studies.
Students wishing to enrol in the in-country offering should refer to the Greek In-Country Language program for further information.
