HIT235 Digital Systems and Computer Architecture

Introduction to the basics of digital systems and their design; the analysis of digital circuits using Boolean Algebra and logic reduction; concepts of memory systems and examination of the various designs, flip-flops, counters. Introduction to memory systems, micro-processors and computer architecture. This is a core unit for electrical and electronics engineering and software engineering students to gain more insights to the actual working principles of computing systems.

This unit is reliant on on-line materials. Students must have access to a reliable high-speed broadband connection and a scanner.
