MID205 Midwifery Evidence Informed Health Research
This unit is designed to introduce the student to scientific enquiry related to evidence-informed health practice, specific to midwifery. Students who successfully complete this course will have demonstrated an ability to ask a clinically related question and learn how to research that question in both qualitative and quantitative methods. They will discover how to systematically search the literature and critically evaluate the quality and applicability of existing research. Further, they will learn to appraise the quality of published research critically. All this learning is integrated by the students when they develop an evidence based practice sheet and present a video on a research question.
