In this unit student will explore haemodialysis, including timely planning and commencement of haemodialysis treatment and study the theoretical concepts of ultrafiltration, diffusion and convection. Additionally, this unit will explore renal replacement therapy as haemodialysis treatment. Students will discuss how to manage complications, aiming to deliver safe treatments in both chronic and acute haemodialysis settings focusing on evidenced based technology to optimise treatment.
