The purpose of this unit is to prepare you to think critically and reflectively about the fundamental use of psychological testing before you join the world of professional practice or research. This unit is not designed to teach you how to be a practitioner; however, on its completion you should be able to clearly recognise the ethical and professional issues of psychological assessment and testing, and understand the processes involved in critically evaluating test use and results in the future. Therefore, this unit provides the basis for professional and ethical use of psychological tests by graduates
of the program.
This unit is taught online and includes 2 x 3-day compulsory on-campus intensives residential schools. The exact time and location of the intensives will be communicated to each student ahead of time via timetabling.
