This unit provides students with an understanding of the use and value of systems concepts in accounting by analysing the structure of accounting sub-systems and their interfaces, how information systems are developed, implemented and maintained, practical experience in the use of computer packages in the areas of management and accounting, the evaluation of accounting packages, and the use of microcomputers to solve business problems.
