MAKING FIRE: AN ESSENTIAL SURVIVAL GUIDE
This book has two parts. Firstly, it gives a history of fire making and an account of fire making amongst indigenous people of the world, particularly amongst Australian Aborigines. Secondly, it gives a practical demonstration of making fire, rubbing two sticks together, using each of the hand drill, bow drill, fire saw and fire plough methods. There are over 100 photos and drawings giving exact detail of how to choose fire sticks, shape them in the wild, and achieve fire making. All of the technical aspects are discussed.
