AUD501 - Hearing Assessment
Hearing Assessment introduces students to audiological clinical assessment techniques used in adults within a framework of person-centred care. Students will gain foundational knowledge in acoustics, calibration, sound measurement, and diagnostic techniques. Students will also acquire the clinical decision-making skills needed to select and administer appropriate hearing assessment tests, interpret findings, and make appropriate management and referral decisions. Students are expected to attend a 5-day face-to-face intensive as part of their learning for this unit. This intensive is co-taught with AUD502, and part-time students are recommended to enrol in both AUD501 and AUD502 within the same semester.
