This unit is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to operate in an effective and professional way in applying Business Intelligence (BI) and data mining to a knowledge-based organisation. Students will analyse and transform data into knowledge to apply to decision making in organisation. Diverse BI applications, data mining and the relationships between BI and data mining will also be addressed in this unit. This unit is reliant on on-line materials. Students must have access to a reliable high-speed broadband connection.
