BUS504 Sustainable Enterprise

The UN Sustainable Development Goals launched in 2015 have been adopted by more than 170 countries. Since then, sustainability has become an increasingly significant organisational consideration. The Sustainable Enterprise unit introduces the fundamentals of sustainability for organisations and provides the essential knowledge and skills required by modern managers sustainable enterprises of the future. A framework is provided which links to the skills and knowledge provided in other units and prepares students for undertaking the Sustainable Consulting Project. The unit describes the characteristics of sustainable enterprises and defines future sustainability challenges. In terms of practical sustainable enterprise skills, the unit offers students skills to perform sustainability audits, develop sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and implement appropriate initiatives.
