DES162 Architectural Technology and Environment 1

This unit examines typical residential scale construction with particular emphasis placed on building materials; their properties, historical relevance, development and application in common construction practices. Typical construction systems will be compared and evaluated including typical masonry, framing systems and composite systems for residential scale buildings applying Australian codes and standards.
